kristen dodge & DODGEgallery

an interesting interview with kristen dodge was posted on the new american paintings blog the other day.  kristen used to be the director of the now shuttered judi rotenberg gallery on newbury street in boston and has recently opened her own, new gallery called DODGEgallery on the lower east side of new york city.

the judi rotenberg gallery was always my favorite to visit while in school in boston.  there was always a fresh batch of work to view that really made your eyes dance around the space.  the judi rotenberg introduced me to lorna williams during a trip there for one of my art classes, and i was blown away.  kristen curated a juried show i was in once, and it was an honor to have my work chosen by her- especially since i was so fond of the work she was bringing into judi rotenberg.

DODGEgallery looks like it will encompass the same feel of artists- smart, forward and new.  this is definitely a gallery to visit if you find yourself in new york city.
